
They also have a birthing barn. One cow was having problems and they had to come help get the calf out. It was gross. They hooked straps onto the calf to pull it out. I thought they were going to next bring in a tractor to help pull. I've seen cars get pulled from the mud easier. But the baby came out and was doing fine.
They said the mommy and baby are only together for 30 minutes before the calf is removed and the mom sent back to the barn. They mommy never sees the calf again after that unless they meet at a meat counter some day.
I know bad joke.
